I went to the doctor yesterday (8/11/08) and met him for the first time. I was very happy with how the visit went. I really liked him. I went by myself which was the first appointment I went to alone which was a little weird. Ryan will get to meet him next week. We get to start going to the doctor weekly from now on. A sign we are nearing the end. Everything looks good and is measuring good. My weight went down just a tad. Everything seems to be going great.

Ryan and I just bought a new camera to capture the rest of the pregnancy our little girl once she arrives. I am really excited about the camera and so is Ryan. It should help us take great photos. Be on the look out for new pictures. We will hopefully post some soon.

The move is complete and we are finally back in Folsom. We moved on July 26th and even though I have not been working I feel like I have been going non-stop. I am trying to contact everyone important but I feel like I keep running out of time. Thanks everyone for being understanding of that. We are living with Ryan’s parents until the baby comes and we find a house to buy. I have been keeping myself busy with appointments, seeing people and getting our things organized. Just when thing will probably start settling down then Flora will come and we will start all over again.

We went for another 3d ultrasound on friday. She sure has grown but she didn’t want to cooperate. Apparently she was sleeping on the job and didn’t want to move around enough for us to get better images. You can make out some of the features such as her cheeks and nose. Sarah seems to think she has my nose. You be the judge.

Ryan and I went to see the doctor on 6/26. The big thing for this appointment was the test results for the gestational diabetes and it was normal. We were both relieved about that and very happy. The baby (my belly) Is measuring good and her heart beat is good too. That was about all for this appointment. I am getting really antsy to see her again. We get to go on the 11th of July for another 3D ultra sound which I can not wait for. We have one more appointment with the doctor on July 21 which will be the last appointment here with this office. Then we will start seeing the new doctor in Folsom.

We have choosen god parents for Flora. We chose Torry and Cathy. They are good friends of ours and people we trust very much. We asked them yesterday and they gladly accepted which we were very happy about. We know they share similar views as we do and know they will be supportive throughout Flora’s life. Of course we had to choose people who have a good sense of humor as well which we did. My god parent’s have been there for me and have been supportive of me no matter what. I know that I am very lucky to have such great god parents and we know that Flora will have the same thing with Tory and Kathy.

We are slowly creeping up on moving day and I know time will start to go by fast once the 30 day mark passes. We are moving on July 26 which will be a very happy yet sad day for me. I have been packing little bits at a time and we have already taken a few things to sacramento when we went up last weekend. We are trying to get all the packing done before moving day and organize it so it will that much easier to move since we have to do it all in one day. I will not be able to lift anything, so the more I can do before hand the better. We got a lot done today which is nice to see but I am certainly feeling it even though I wasn’t lifting anything heavy. We are anticipating the move and can not wait to be back with our family and friends in sacramento even though I will really miss my friends here.

I was not fully aware of this condition until the heat came over us this weekend. My feet, because of the heat and pregnancy of course, swell so much that they look like ugly sausages! There is no other term I can think of that would better describe this. Not only do my ankles swell but also my feet all the way down to my toes. When it is really bad I have a hard time moving my toes. They look ugly and are uncomfortable. Ryan highly dislikes this term. I just have no other way to accurately describe my feet in this condition.

The baby continues to grow, as does Sarah’s belly. She looks exceptionally beautiful in this photo taken on Father’s day at 25 weeks.
The baby is moving more and more each day. We think she is practicing kung fu in there since she is able to poke Sarah’s belly in several spots in a short period of time. Better for her to practice her moves now so she can fend off the boys later.

At the beginning of the month we did a 3d ultrasound and boy was that an interesting experience. It seemed we were having an alien, at least thats what it looked like on the screen. The technician explained to us that it was hard to see the baby since she was so small. She was nice enough to offer us another session for free when the baby is further along so we can get a better view.
Here is a side view that was the least freaky looking of the pics.
