Feeling Stretched Out

Just in the last couple of weeks, I am feeling stretched out. I know this is just the beggining. My back and abdominal muscles are sore and achy. It’s not just at the end of the day either. I am also very tired, even after 10 hours of sleep most nights. I’m sure this is just prep for what is to come but once lunch is over I feel useless and out of energy. So, I’m just going to keep taking advantage of a long night sleep while I can. I know there is a beautiful light at the end of this tunnel, our baby girl. I can’t wait.

More Movement

Out little girl is getting stronger and stronger with each passing day. There is no mistaken that she is in here and very active. There are times when I think I can feel her from the outside but then Ryan tries to feel her and can’t. I’m a little sad that he isn’t able to feel her moving yet because I know he really wants to but I’m sure it will happen soon. It is such a great feeling to feel your baby moving inside of you. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first but it really does make my day.

Mother’s Day

Mother’s day was so much fun. We all went out to brunch and exchanged gifts. We had a big suprise for everyone. We suprised them with the sex of the baby! We copied one of the ultra sound pictures that said “its a girl” on it. Then we put that on pink paper and put it into an evelope for everyone. It took atleast 30 seconds before anyone even realized what it was. My Aunt Pam screamed “it’s a girl” and then everyone started screaming and jumping. Good thing we were still outside because it was loud. Everyone was so happy. It was one of the best days I have had and will always remember

Shopping

Shopping is so much fun I can hardly stand it. Now that we know we are having a girl it’s irresistible. I have been shopping a few times either by myself or with friends and Ryan and I just went to San Francisco for our anniversary and shopped there. We have been having so much fun but Know we need to slow down a bit because it could get out of control very quickly. There are so many cute things it’s hard to pass them up. She already had three pairs of shoes! I’, sure there will be more to come. I know my mother will be buying as much as she can and we have already had people give us hand me downs and offered to give more. This baby is going to be spoiled by all that love her so much already. She will be more well dressed than Ryan and I for sure. I have no problem with that at all!! She deserves it.

The results are in…

We are having a girl! Sarah and I were very excited to find out the sex of the baby Friday evening at our ultrasound. The baby didn’t want to cooperate at first but after some persistence by the ultrasound technician we were able to figure out the sex. Sarah’s friend, Carissa, graciously accompanied us to our appointment and they both screamed at the same time when the technician announced that we were having a girl.

Afterwards when we were getting ready to leave, Carissa rushed out to her car. She came prepared with gifts and signs for both a girl and a boy. We were very suprised and thankful that she went to great lengths to share this special moment with us.

Pictures will be up soon.

Petunia Pickle what?

That’s what crossed my mind the first time Sarah had mentioned Pentunia Pickle Bottom. She has been lusting after these for quite some time. Apparently they are fashionable baby bags that cost an arm and a leg. I guess I will never understand why certain things cost as much as they do.
