Our Caribbean Vacation
We finally went on our Caribbean vacation that we had been planning for more than a year. This was our last chance big vacation before Ducky comes. It was great. We saw a lot and learned a lot. Not only about the places we saw but also about cruising and vacationing in general. I was lucky that I did not get sea sick much. There were only a few times when I felt sick and only once that I actually threw up on the ship. The sea bands helped me out a lot for when the sea was real choppy. It could have been a lot worse especially since I’m pregnant and I am so glad it wasn’t. A little part of me feels guilty that we spent as much money as we did but I know that If we did not do this now it would not have happened for a very long time if ever. It was quite an experience and opened up my eyes to what the world has to offer. You hear about these places but you do not really have a grasp on it until you can see it and touch it for yourself. So, our little Ducky has been to many of the Caribbean islands including Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, Tortola, St. John, St. Thomas, St. Kitts, Grenada, Bonaire, Aruba and also Puerto Rico. Ducky has also sailed the Atlantic ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Ducky has flown over a good part of the US as well. He/She is well traveled for a fetus of 18 weeks. I am very happy that we were able to have this experience and to share it with Ducky and my god parents. If we ever make it back to the Caribbean I think we would like to go back to St. John. That was the prettiest and most “tropical” place we saw. The beaches and water was so clear and beautiful. Even if we do not make it back we had a great time and enjoyed most of what we experienced.
